Hillside view obstruction / fence ordinance

Speaking for her hospice-care mother who has owned her Bluff Hill Drive home since 1958, she described a neighbor's 6-foot-plus vinyl fence that erased a 67-year view worth an estimated $150,000-$200,000, and asked the city to adopt protections for future homeowners.

A 58-year resident whose backyard view was fully blocked by the same fence, she said she offered to pay to lower or relocate it and was rebuffed, and proposed a municipal code requiring prior consent from neighbors whose views would be obstructed.
